Wax On, Wax OFF

Just wanted to let everyone know about an awesome new place to get your wax on, or more like off. There's a new place called European Wax Centers here in the valley (and if you're not in AZ, there are several locations around the US, so check out their website for locations). It's a whole salon dedicated only to waxing. And the prices are unbeatable! So whether you're in need of a brow or brazillion, I'd definitely check out European Wax Centers! They're AZ location is off of Thompson Peak & Frank Lloyd Wright. Make sure if you go in, you let them know I referred you, because they have an awesome referral program. Every referral gets you $10 of store credits! And if you sign up for a membership you get 30% off waxes, and 20% off their products.

Happy Waxing!

Summer Lovin!

Hello everyone! Long time, no blog.

It's officially summer (at least it is here in Phoenix. 100+ degrees from here on out. Blech!). Here are my favorite summer must haves.

Braids. Love this look on Lauren Conrad. Combined with the side pony tail, it's super cute. Also, pigtail braids are one of my go to hairstyles in the summer.

Falsies. These Andrea Mod Lash lashes are great. You'll need some lash glue, and you should be able to get a couple uses out of these if you save them afterwards. You can find these at any drugstore. I beleive they're about $3.49 a pack.
MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish. Apply this on top of your blush, at the top of your cheekbones ans swoop a little toward your temple and it'll leave a slight shimmer.

MAC's Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. This is my new favorite foundation. It's great for the hot summer days. It's a matte finish, which is great if you sweat a lot. It won't leave you oily or sweaty looking. Love it!

Pink Lipstick is so in right now! My favorite is MAC's Impassioned. It's bright, and leaves a smooth finish. I like to pair it with MAC's cranberry lip liner. If this is too bold for you try Skew, which is a similar color, but not as bright. For a softer pink lip, try Faux.

Try a combination of these! Start with the Studio Fix Foundation, add a light natural eye with the falsies, then contoure your cheeks with some bronzer, and add some soft pink blush, like MAC's Well Dressed (my personal favorite), throw some Skinfinish on top of that, and go bold with the Impassioned lipstick and you're ready for a girl's night out on a hot summer night. Dos Gringos anyone?

Enjoy the summer and try to stay cool everyone!

Celebrate The Holidays With MAC!

The holidays are right around the corner, literally! I mean, Thanksgiving is just a week away! Woo hoo! And what better way to celebrate than with makeup, right? I for one, love MAC's holiday collections each year. The fun colorful compacts that the collections come in are great!

Here are MAC's 2008 holiday collections...

Red She Said
This year it's all about RED! With the comback of red lipstick, why not?

The retro-starlet allure of Hollywood glamour, with a modern twist. A season where lips connive, then confess in shades of provocative holiday reds. Party season and passions flare! "Red" She Said, and no one could resist her...

Mineralize Eye Shadow Trio ($17.50)
Three shades of Mineralize Eye Shadow all in one. Each palette offers a complete eye look in the signature high colour, and dimensional pearl finish of this mineralized formula. Limited edition(By the way - I'm totally kicking myself in the booty for not picking one of these up. I couldn't decide on my last visit. better get back in there before they're no longer available!)

Lipsticks($14.00)
Comes in 4 different shades: "Red" She Said, Crazeee, Pomposity, Soft Pause, and Quiet, Please.

Dazzleglass($17.50)
Lipcolour that dazzles with light and shine to bring an exciting dimensional pop to your lips. Large particle pearls reflect and refract light to mimic the brilliance of quartz and opal crystal. Provides exceptional shine with a crystalline iridescence. Non-sticky, non-tacky, lightweight and moisturizing. Glides on. Wear alone, or layer over lipstick or Lipglass for dramatic effect.
In other words, like Lipglass but better! Colors - Date Night, Baby Sparks, Miss Dynamite, Love Alert and Sugarrimmed
Blush($18.00)
Two new shimmery shades; Stark Naked and Enough Said.

Passions of Red

Bewitchingly bejewelled. Glossy, glamorous, insistently erotic lip and eye compacts to covet in five shades of passion. Features new and bring-back shades for red-hot exclusivity. The quintessential Holiday colour revamped. Passion like this simply can't be contained!

4 Different eyeshadow compacts with 6 colors in each! For warm eyes choose Intriguing Scarlett, for a cooler eye choose Infatuating Rose, for a classic eye try Devoted Poppy, and for a classic smokey eye pick up Facinating Ruby. All great compact and I want them all. Kthxbai.

They also have three lip compacts that come with three different shades. First one, Devoted Poppy are peach/orange-ish colors for a coral lip. Very nice! The second one is Facinating Ruby which comes in plum colors. And last but not least, we have Intruiging Scarlett that comes in cool pink tones. Very lovely.
